As Tanzania charts its course toward a sustainable blue economy, the Our Ocean Bootcamp 2025 (5th Cohort) stands as a powerful platform for nurturing the next generation of ocean leaders and innovators.
This year, 50 outstanding fellows from across the country have been selected to embark on a transformative journey — building their knowledge, leadership, and innovation capacity to protect marine ecosystems, strengthen coastal livelihoods, and accelerate climate resilience.
The Bootcamp blends virtual learning, in-person collaboration, and hands-on ocean action, culminating in a powerful ocean action event. Through training, mentorship, and innovation challenges, participants co-create community-driven ocean solutions that restore ecosystems and empower local economies.
The 2025 edition is powered by SOA Tanzania, with funding support from SOA Global and VSO Tanzania and generous support from OVATION, MTI Investment, UMI Fund, TonToTon, and TAKT. Together, these partners are uniting to scale youth-led blue innovation and action across Tanzania.
