Ms.Maria Pentzel

Ms. Maria Pentzel holds an Erasmus Mundus Master in Maritime Spatial Planning and is currently the Marine Conservation Warden at Marine Parks and Reserves Tanzania under Tanzania's Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries. Previously, she served as a fisheries officer in Dar es Salaam. With over a decade of experience in fisheries management and marine conservation, she is a leading figure in Tanzanian marine science and one of the few female open water divers. Ms. Pentzel has been instrumental to SOA TANZANIA since its inception, offering guidance and contributing to projects like the MSIMBAZI RIVER CLEAN UP. Her vision is to foster a sustainable ocean environment led by young leaders.
